Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of MIT-WPU's most versatile engineering disciplines. Our programme offers a unique blend of academics and co-curricular activities, with a vibrant real-life experience to budding mechanical engineers. In this four-year programme, students learn how to design, develop and improve products and systems for Automotive, Mechatronics, and Aerospace, Manufacturing, Energy Conservation and other industries. Electrical Engineering

From the Global Positioning System to electrical power generation, electrical engineers have contributed significantly to a wide range of technologies. Electronics and Communication Engineering

Civil and Sub-surface engineering

Chemical Engineering

From developing the smallest computer chips to coming up with innovative solutions for water-treatment and energy-generation, Chemical Engineers are required to improve the overall well-being of our society. Students are trained to deal with the design, development and operation aspects of industrial processes to convert raw materials into useful products. Petroleum Engineering

Our Petroleum Engineering programme is considered one of the most unique and lucrative courses in India. Here, our well-experienced faculty teaches students to design & develop methods & technologies for extracting oil and gas from deposits below the Earth's surface. Computer Science and engineering

Hence, MIT-WPU has introduced a four-year programme in Computer Science and Engineering. This programme equips students to work in various domains of engineering such as design, development, testing, and maintenance. Polymer Engineering

Polymer and plastic have become an indispensable part of our life. Right from the plastic cups used for drinking tea to the tiffin used for carrying lunch in, Polymer Engineering is omnipresent. Those students interested in designing and creating new products with this technology, should consider our four-year programme in Polymer Engineering. During this programme, our well-experienced faculty trains students to design & synthesize new materials by taking into consideration economic & environmental aspects. Here, students also learn the core concepts of product design, tool design and stimulation, polymer rheology and more.

Robotics and Automation Engineering

Today, robots are making their way into new industries to simplify work processes, help employees and improve the overall performance of a business. As the involvement and demand for robots increases, so does the demand for skilled experts to build, operate, and service them. To cater to these requirements, MIT-WPU has started a unique B. Tech programme for Robotics and Automation. Here, students learn the construction, operation, design and application of robots. After completing this four-year programme, they can work for research firms, nuclear power plants, manufacturing industries and more.

2. BTech Polymer, Chemical or Petroleum: For students seeking admission in any of these programs, an additional scholarship (Over & above that applicable in (i) above but subject to maximum of 75% of tuition fees.) would be given based on Chemistry marks in 12th Board Examination 2020.

ADMISSIONS GUIDE

MIT-WPU follows UGC-specified eligibility norms while reviewing students’ admission applications.To be eligible for admission to any of our BTech programmes, candidates are required to meet the following criteria :

For Maharashtra and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate:

  • Candidate must have passed XII std with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects, with min 50% marks in PCM group (45% for reserved category candidates)
